State of shopping tracking.
Measured, not mythologized.

2026 / Q2 baseline

Marketplace URLs, tracker and ad rules, readable browser state, and compatibility

Cloak’s first completed-quarter report documents retailer URL cleanup, separate tracker and advertising classifications, browser-readable attribution state, selected fingerprinting reductions, GPC and DNT signals, protection receipts, and shopping compatibility.

What changed after the Q2 baseline

The verified Cloak 0.1.14 build now also includes optional consent assistance, tracking-cookie hardening, one-store resets, Cloak Check, local price timelines and variance alerts, expanded browser-signal reductions, optional Gmail-style checkout sub-addressing, and a rate-limited trial-to-paid lifecycle.

This is a current product note, not an early Q3 report. The next State of Shopping Tracking report will be published only after the quarter is complete and its evidence is reproducible.

Reports are released after a completed quarter when reproducible evidence is available. Each report names its tested version, fixtures, publication date, methodology, and limitations. Cloak does not turn a changed price into a price-discrimination claim.
