Cloak is a desktop Chrome extension that blocks selected tracker, ad-tech, exchange, and OpenRTB requests; cleans common URL and referral tracking; clears supported merchant session state in Shopping Mode; removes selected readable tracking state; and shows local assessments. Its page defenses reduce selected Canvas, WebGL, Web Audio, font, media-device, hardware, language, battery, persistent-ID, Client Hint, and high-frequency behavior signals. On supported retailer pages, Cloak can keep a purchase observation in local extension storage for up to 30 days and compare it with a later visible price. Ordinary cart, product, login, and preference storage is not intentionally removed. Tests also cover checkout, currency, locale, and product-selection preservation.
Forget this store is a separate, explicit browser-state reset. After confirmation, it clears covered cookies and origin storage for the selected store, which signs you out and may empty carts. Optional per-store automatic forgetting is off by default and runs when Chrome next starts, not during ordinary shopping. Neither option deletes merchant account, order, or server-side records.
Blocking selected tracking and ad-tech requests can mean fewer visible ads on some sites. Cloak cannot reveal why a merchant selected a price, guarantee a lower price, secure a price match, monitor native mobile apps, or cover every retailer, variant, fee, tracker, auction, or fingerprint. Universal ad blocking is not promised. The free trial ends after seven days and never auto-converts to a payment. Refunds may be requested within 14 days of a paid purchase.
